FIELD: high-voltage pulse engineering, converter engineering, applicable, in particular, for powering of geophysical dipoles, solenoids with a high power content, for test of power transformers by loading of them by kiloampere current of load duration, etc.
SUBSTANCE: the shaper is made in the form of at least one stage provided with the first and second output terminals, each of the n steps of each stage has a storage battery, with one of the outputs of a similar polarity for all the steps connected to a controlled switch, the storage battery of each previous step is series-connected to the storage battery of the subsequent step via a controlled switch, the free output of the storage battery of the first step is coupled to the first output terminal, the free output of the controlled switch of the last step is coupled to the second output terminal, each step is shunted by a diode opposite connected with respect to the storage battery polarity, the first terminals of the stages are connected to the load via the normally-closed contacts of the first polarity selector switch and the normally open contacts of the polarity selector switch, and the second terminals of the stages are connected to the load via the normally-closed contacts of the second polarity selector switch and the normally-open contacts of the first polarity selector switch. Besides, when the number of stages exceeds one, the second output terminal of each stage may be connected to the polarity selector switches via a separate ripple-filter choke, and a smoothing capacitor and a circuit consisting of a controlled switch and a resistor series-connected to it are parallel-connected between the contacts of the polarity selector switches on the side opposite the load.
EFFECT: reduced weight and overall dimensions, enhanced pulse energy and power of the oscillator, enhanced accuracy and expanded range of control of the output pulses parameters.
