FIELD: machine engineering, possibly formation of through openings of any contour in electrically conducting materials with high accuracy at intensified electrochemical working process.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of electrochemical working of sheet blank with use of dielectric patterns applied onto both sides of blank and joined along contour of working by means of two tool-electrodes in flow-through electrolyte at connecting tool-electrodes and blank to electric current source while using blank as anode and tool-electrodes as cathode; working during two stages; at first stage interrupting working process by means of two tool-electrodes at achieving electric current value for designed time period necessary for removing material from blank after forming recesses; at second stage connecting one of tool-electrodes and sheet blank to positive pole of electric current source and connecting other tool-electrode to negative pole of electric current source for going on working till achieving value of electric current equal to electric current value according to designed period of first stage of working.

EFFECT: improved accuracy and efficiency of working along contour of opening.
