FIELD: transport engineering; measurement technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for checking condition of vehicle brake system. According to proposed method, value of current overload is determined and compared with reference values at corresponding initial conditions of forming of overload. Initial conditions of forming of overload are determined on base of two initial data: vehicle speed at moment of braking and forces acting onto brake shoes. Working order of brake system is determined according to said initial conditions. Proposed device contains logic unit with AND gate matrix, trigger matrix, first and second OR gates and differentiating circuit. First inputs of matrix and AND gates are connected with first inputs of logic unit, and second inputs are connected with second inputs of logic unit. Outputs of AND gates are connected with first inputs of triggers whose outputs are connected with input of second OR gate whose output being output of logic unit. First and second inputs of logic unit are connected, respectively, with output of vehicle speed sensor and output of brake pedal pressure sensor whose outputs are connected also with inputs of first OR gate whose output is connected with second inputs of trigger matrix through differentiating circuit.
EFFECT: improved reliability of results of checking of vehicle brake system.
