FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation and can be used for automatic determination of the vehicle braking system serviceability. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. First, preliminary values of overloads for n-starting conditions with the level making 0.9 of reference value are entered. One of the said values is selected in compliance with the starting condition of overload origination. The current overload value is compared with the limit value for the given starting condition. In case the level of current overload goes below the warning value, alarm signal is generated. The proposed device comprises overload magnitude indicator, overload direction indicator, overload increased level indicator, alarm circuit indicator, data processing unit, computer and electric-contact pickup.
