FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry and may be used in automatic braking path detection system. Proposed method is implemented with the help of brake system testing device. In determining brake system serviceability, reference overloads for n initial conditions are loaded to determine current overload and display its magnitude and direction. Current overloads exceeding preset reference magnitudes are displayed to introduce warning overload magnitudes for n initial conditions making 0.9 of reference magnitude for selection to be made from one warning magnitude in compliance with initial conditions of overload origination. One of warning magnitudes is selected in compliance with initial condition of overload origination. Current overload is compared with warning one for given initial condition to signal at current overload lower than warning one. Moment of depressing brake pedal is determined while brake system state is indicated with said pedal depressed. Time of operation and total operating hours are determined to load data on total operating hours, initial conditions of overload origination and current overloads into memory unit.
EFFECT: higher validity of data.
