FIELD: packages, particularly food containers.

SUBSTANCE: food container comprises hollow body 2 and vessel part 3 defining cavity. Vessel part 3 has side wall 6 with end part 7 and outlet part arranged at vessel part end opposite to lower end 8 thereof. Outlet part is connected to side wall 6 of vessel part 7 so that cavity is created. Lower end 8 is formed of end part 7 of side wall 6 and has laminated area separated with seam, which isolates said area from container cavity 1. Cavity defines space free of transitional areas and/or dead spaces. The seam extends along area corresponding to transversal fold line. Method for container production with the use of substantially flat blank provided with fold lines made by creasing operation involves imparting substantially tubular shape to blank to create side wall 6 of container 1; fixing blank with tubular blank shape keeping; bending blank along mutually opposite parts of transversal fold line, which define end part 7 of side wall 6; folding end part along inclined fold lines extending from transversal fold lines and converging towards free transversal blank edge to create lower end 8 of container 1 to be produced and mutually opposite stiffening members 10 having laminated structures; fixing lower end 8 and stiffening members 10 by welding connected sides of free transversal edge; bending end part 7 along mutually opposite parts of transversal fold line, which define stiffening members 10 so that said stiffening members are located flat over lower end 8; connecting stiffening members 10 to lower end 8; additionally sealing laminated structure created by each stiffening member 10 along corresponding part of transversal fold line.

EFFECT: decreased production costs.
