FAT- AND PROTEIN-CONTAINING WASTE WATER TREATMENT PROCESS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC C02F9/04 C02F1/56 C02F101/30

Abstract RU 2323166 C1

FIELD: waste water treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treating fat- and protein-containing waste water at food industry entertainments and comprises preliminary waste water treatment stage involving reagent flocculation followed by flotation separation of phases. Additional fine post-treatment stage includes dynamic-mode sorption and reagent flocculation also followed by flotation separation of phases. Flocculation in preliminary and fine post-treatment stages employ cationic flocculant "EPAM", which is water-soluble copolymer obtained as product of reaction between excess epichlorhydrin and primary or secondary amine, or mixture of primary or secondary amine with ammonia followed by addition of a tertiary aliphatic amine as gelation inhibitor. Sorption in the second fine post-treatment stage is accomplished using granulated modified nitrogen-containing coal MAU-200. Optimal dose of flocculant constitutes 3-5% of initial concentration of fat and protein substances in water to be treated and distributed at weight ratio 3:1 in treatment stages, respectively. Dose of MAU-200 in the form of water suspension ranges from 50 to 150 mg/L.

EFFECT: increased degree of purification of fat-containing waste water and deepened post-treatment of protein-containing waste water while reducing kinds and amounts of chemical reagents employed and eliminating secondary pollutions.
