FIELD: explosives.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gun powders and fuels based on nitroglycerine and cellulose nitrates and provides a method for separating diphenylamine from impurities containing amines and their derivatives. Diphenylamine is treated with isopropyl alcohol at weight ratio 1:(1.5-1.7) at heating to 30-40°C, after which held to complete dissolution of diphenylamine and then the latter is precipitated by water at water-to-alcohol weight ratio 1:4.
EFFECT: use of thus obtained impurities-free diphenylamine as stabilizer in gun powders and fuels allows gas emission to be lowered by a factor greater than one and a half.
