SUBSTANCE: device for protection of domestic device, namely device for cooking food, against unpremeditated operation has at least one actuating member and least one electric starting unit with three Microgap-relays and time delay function. When at least one actuating member is driven into operation during preset or being preset minimal duration of operation in at least one area of oven of domestic device, electric power is interrupted and at least one function of domestic device is blocked or released due to starting device. Indicator is provided which has one light-emitting diode for indication of operational condition of one actuating member. At least one actuating member has one light-emitting diode, producing at least two glowing colors - red and green one - for indication of interrupted or restored electric power. There is at least one blocking mechanism for protection against unpremeditated drive into operation or springing mechanism, which makes unpremeditated operation less easy. Actuating member, indicator, namely light-emitting diode and electric starting unit, are integrated in one unit incase. Method of protection is also described.
