FIELD: onboard devices for check and indication of illumination of low levels, at twilight or at night for estimation of expediency of use of night-vision goggles at control of flying vehicles, sea-going or river-going vessels at poor illumination.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system has two photo-detector units, electronic processing unit and indicator unit with digital panel and pointer-type indicator. Digital panel is made in form of four sectors; each of them includes digital and color segments. Information on present magnitude of natural night illumination level is shown on panel in digital form; position of pointer-type indicator on color segment is determined by comparison of measured level of natural night illumination with meteorological conditions beyond the cabin, thus making it possible to take effective decision on use of night-vision goggles by position of pointer-type indicator on digital panel.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
