FIELD: electromechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ground insulation for electrical-machine slotless armature is made in the form of electricity nonconductive material disposed on cylindrical external surface of magnetic circuit. Ground insulation layer contacting magnetic circuit surface has solid abrasive powder of electricity nonconductive material, such as quartz; magnetic circuit surface covered with ground insulation is axially polished. Ground insulation can be made in the form of molded insulating mass with abrasive powder introduced in its composition, as well as in the form of reinforced polymeric layer facing magnetic circuit whose surface includes abrasive powder in its binder.
EFFECT: enhanced resistivity to tangential shift of active layer relative to magnetic circuit.
