FIELD: packet commutation segment of mobile communication system, wherein two or more network operators use one and the same network jointly.
SUBSTANCE: to ensure capacity for operators to compete with each other, operators usually have their own network gate unit (GGSN1, GGSN2), although the servicing unit (SGSN1) is used jointly. To ensure possible selection of gate unit (GGSN1, GGSN2) the invention includes maintenance of information about predetermined partner networks, in other words, jointly used networks, which operator has in addition to his own network. On basis of that information, the mobile station (MS2) may connect to gate unit (GGSN2) of its original network (PLMN2) under condition that the network being visited (PLMN1) is a partner network for given original network (PLMN2). The mobile station, which moves from a zone outside the zone of effect of partner networks, however, may be connected to the gate unit (GGSN1) being visited.
EFFECT: ensured capacity of mobile station to select a network of partner operator.
