SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved by obtaining in a data transmission system a request for transfer of a mobile communication number for transfer of a number, connected to subscriber, from first operator of mobile communication network to second operator of mobile communication network; providing, in a data transmission system, a plurality of mobile communication network operator network adaptation processes for a portable network number portability, wherein each mobile communication network operator adaptation process is provided from a corresponding one of the plurality of regional nodes in the data transmission system, each regional node covering a respective different group of one or more mobile communication network operators of a country; and providing portability of a mobile communication number to a subscriber in a data transmission system by implementing a common main process and corresponding one of a plurality of mobile communication network operator adaptation processes.

EFFECT: technical result consists in elimination of delays of connection of subscribers of cellular telecommunication services.
