FIELD: engines and pumps; mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: brush unit includes brush frame with sucking duct continued into vacuum cleaner case, brush with a suction aperture transporting the flow into the suction duct of the brush frame, at that brush can be rotated on the brush frame, and lock. Lock, providing the possibility of brush rotating against the brush frame, creates a closure between the suction duct and suction aperture and also creates a gap through which outer air flows into the suction duct of the brush frame when the brush rotates against the brush frame. The lock includes upper packing unit located at the suction duct, and lower packing unit, beginning at the upper end of the suction aperture and sliding along the upper packing component. When the brush rotates against the brush frame at a specified angle between the upper packing component and lower packing component, the gap appears, and outer air flows through it into the suction duct. The brush is equipped with joint, located at a suction aperture side, and at least one aperture for outer air, this aperture is made on that lower packing component portion which is opposite to the joint. The upper and lower packing components are made as rectangular pipes, and there a gap is created between an upper end of one wall of the lower packing component and lower end of upper packing component. Vacuum cleaner comprises vacuum cleaner case, intended to create suction force, extension pipe unit transporting flow into the vacuum cleaner case and creating the duct for contaminants, and brush unit, transporting the flow into the pipe extension unit; the said brush unit is designed for contaminants suction.

EFFECT: to reduce the efforts required to move a brush unit above surface to be cleaned.
