FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: suction brush unit comprising casing for brush unit having suction inlet opening through which air is sucked from surface to be treated, cover connected with said casing and equipped with at least one opening providing drawing of air into said casing, and body of rotation positioned for rotation on said casing and carrying detachable cleaning member on its lower part. Detachable cleaning member is contacting with surface to be treated. Gap is provided between body of rotation and said casing for delivery of outer air drawn through at least one opening into lower part of said casing. Suction brush unit according to another version has casing with suction inlet opening for sucking dust from surface to be treated, cover connected with said unit, turbofan positioned for rotation on said casing, suction channel for guiding onto turbofan of air drawn through inlet suction opening, and channel partition adapted for defining suction channel and having plurality of openings. Vacuum cleaner comprises housing including suction force generator, elongation hose connected to vacuum cleaner housing and being in fluid communication with suction force generator, and suction brush unit connected to elongation hose and adapted for sucking dust from surface to be treated. Suction brush unit has casing equipped with suction inlet opening for drawing dust from surface to be treated, cover connected with casing of said unit, turbofan mounted for rotation on said casing, suction channel for guiding onto turbofan of air drawn through inlet suction opening, channel partition defining suction channel and equipped with plurality of openings.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in cleaning of surfaces and reduced noise level of vacuum cleaner.
