FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: this device contains hollow closed curvilinear shell of biologically inactive biocompatible material. Device consists of two constituents. The first constituent is made as ellipsoid congruent to eyeball surface. External ellipsoid surface is connected to internal surface of the second constituent. The second constituent is made as part of at least one ellipsoid segment congruent to surface of the first constituent. External surface of the second constituent has not less than 4 loops, each of them is able to bend or curve in any plane, and its convexity is faced oppositely to the first constituent and at equal distance from another loop. The second constituent consists of interweaved fibers of biologically inactive biocompatible material.
EFFECT: improves cosmetic effect in enucleation with signs of buphthalmos.
