FIELD: production methods.
SUBSTANCE: it is realized the vacuum-plasma application of double layer cover. As the lower layer it is brought nitride of titanium, zirconium and aluminium, contains 9-10% of aluminium, as the upper layeris is brought the nitride of titanium, zirconium and aluminium, contains 6.3-7.0% of aluminium. The application of the cover is done by three situated in horizontal plane evaporator, two of which are opposite evaporator contain titanium and zirconium, and situated between them evaporator contains titanium and aluminium. During the application of the upper layer it is used all three cathodes, and during application of the lower layer it is used one of cathodes, that which contains zirconium is not used.
EFFECT: it is exceeded the work capability of cutting instrument and the quality of processing.
