FIELD: metallurgy; equipment for maintenance of baked anodes on electrolytic sections in aluminum production.
SUBSTANCE: device for hoisting and lowering of baked anode blocks on electrolytic sections with fixed anode frame consists of two parallel shafts with attached sprockets that drive endless traction chains; supports of the chain links carry conductive bars of baked anode blocks; meanwhile sprockets, carrying traction chains, are not dead fixed and are able to rotate freely on the shaft; the said sprockets are equipped with enmeshment devices; these devices with pulleys, arranged on a shaft, are either in the form of straight and beveled teeth set along the perimeter of a side surface and jointed with sprockets of disks and pulleys, or in kind of sunk spring loaded components, located in the slots along the external side of the rim, which is secured on the pulley shaft,- arms, balls and rods which, upon meshing, enter into the slots on the inside surface of the disk rim, connected with the sprocket, thus providing a reliable meshing due to constant constriction of the spring and partial overlap of the slot.
EFFECT: possibility to implement less powerful drive in anode block hoist mechanism; increase of operating reliability of the mechanism on a whole.
