ACCUMULATOR BATTERY Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC H01M10/48 H02J7/02

Abstract RU 2324263 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering; manufacturing of secondary sources of electric current.

SUBSTANCE: accumulator battery includes one or more modules connected in series and comprised of several accumulators connected in parallel to common buses (+) and (-), and contains overcurrent protection element in the circuit connecting one of these buses to each accumulator. Also said battery additionally includes accumulator monitoring units that measure voltage at each accumulator and module buses, as well as monitoring electrophysical sensors installed or integrated into accumulators, control units to control module voltage that maintain voltage at module buses within the predefined range due to boost charging or additional charging, a monitoring and alarm unit that carries out general performance monitoring and forms information and control signals of battery status.

EFFECT: improvement of performance reliability and levelling voltage unbalance of accumulators.
