SUBSTANCE: radio network controller receives a message of session start from the base station, determines if Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) is supported by the Frequency Area (FA) that includes subscriber equipment, and sends notification message to subscriber equipment in case the subscriber equipment is located in a FA that does not support MBMS, including information on repeated selection of cell, which is used when the subscriber equipment is relocated in a FA supporting MBMS.
EFFECT: provision subscriber terminal with the possibility to receive packet data in a mobile communication system supporting packet data transfer service.
