SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to steam cooking of food. The bain-marie contains cooking element with a peripheral side wall, which can be placed on the base in the reversed position. The peripheral side wall at least partly encircles the base. If several cooking elements are used, the cooking elements are inserted into one another and placed on the base in the reversed position.
EFFECT: bain-marie is extra compact when packed.
