SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steaming accessory (4) for heating and/or steaming food products contained in container (2) containing steam generator (5), which has steam generator chamber (20) connected to at least one steam distribution outlet (15) made in lower part (10), while steam generator chamber (20) contains heating device (50). According to the invention, heating device (50) is made with the possibility of control by means of control device (28) containing steam detector (29), made with the possibility of detecting steam flow leaving through air outlet channel (18), providing communication between lower part (10) and outer part (11). The invention also relates to an electric steamer comprising container (2) for placing food products to be heated and/or cooked, and lid (3) containing steamer accessory (4) according to the above-mentioned features.
