FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: roll mill stand of an installation contains therein a central rotating bulwark and at least one covering fastened upon it without barring. The covering is secured upon the bulwark by means of back-up rings or a supportive circular plug. Between the bulwark and the covering a circular cavity is formed. Limited in its axis direction with the back-up rings, it is reminiscent of a channel that can in be used for cooling. The cooler is generated from the front edge of the bulwark across the rotating line and passes through the central channel, radial channels and the circular axial slot to be distributed all around the lateral section of the circular cavity and transferred through the radial channels in a deferent rotating line.
EFFECT: provide increases in the roll stability with regard to the mechanical and thermal stress loads.
