FIELD: flywheel energy storage systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed energy storage device has shaft, flywheel, and selective flywheel rotation facility responding to electrical energy supply or generation as it is being rotated by flywheel. Facility for flywheel connection to its selective rotation or electrical energy generation facility with part of bearing means rotating relative to shaft has internal component revolving together with part of bearing means relative to shaft. Its external component is fixed to mentioned assembly of flywheel and its rotation or electrical energy generation facility. Junction facility affords continuous joint rotation of external and internal components when speed of assembly of internal and external components, flywheel, and its rotating or electrical energy generation facility attains level at which centrifugal force separates these components.
EFFECT: enhance reliability and safety, enlarged service life.
