FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Guide roll comprises body 1, 2, 3 and, at least, two support shafts 4, 5, 6, 7. Every support shaft runs in thrust bearing (8, 9, 10, 11). Roll body is press-fitted on support shafts. Interference fit length-to-shaft diametre ratio exceeds 1. Coolant channels are arranged through roll body. Note here that radial and feed channels pass through hot moulded joint between support shaft and roll body, support rolls with hot moulded joints or press fit joints. Joint tightness results from hot press fit.
EFFECT: simple design of guide roll and its stability at high thermal and mechanical loads.
