SUBSTANCE: stringed transport system consists of rail track mounted on a support. The track is in the form of at least, one hollow rail with a flat rolling surface for the wheels of the vehicle. A strained power element is located in the cavity of the rail. Under the rolling surface of the hollow rail, the power element is located at a displacement H, downwards, satisfying the inequality 0.1<A/H<5. The width A, of the flat rolling surface of the rail and width B, of the cylindrical surface of the rim of the vehicle wheel satisfy the relationship 0.9<A/B<2.
EFFECT: lower material consumption and increased stability of the rails against twisting.
