FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: suggested method includes the following stages: (i) interaction of propene and hydrogen peroxide in the presence of ceolite catalyst, and at least of one dissolvent until mixture (G0) is obtained, which contains propylene oxide, non-reacted propene and dissolvent; (ii) isolation of propene out of the mixture (G0) until mixture (G1) is obtained, which contains propylene oxide and at least one dissolvent; (iii) isolation with distillation at the pressure of less than 1.013 bar of propylene oxide out of mixture (G1) with application of distillation column, at that column lower part flow and secondary steam flow that mainly contains propylene oxide are received; (iv) compression of secondary steam flow received at stage (iii), with the help of at least one compressor until compressed secondary flow is obtained; (v) condensation of secondary steam flow received at stage (iv) during repeated use of at least part of condensation heat. Additionally the method may include stage (vi) of cooling condensate received at stage (v) with repeated use of cooled condensate part as reflux in distillation column used at stage (iii).
EFFECT: significantly improves energy balance in comparison with methods of propylene oxide preparation described in state of the art.
