FIELD: technological processes, electrolytic processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to technology of forming wear resistant, dielectric, anticorrosive and decorative oxide or oxide-ceramic coatings on items of aluminium, magnesium and titanium alloys, which are used in aircraft, engineering, chemical and construction industry. Method includes the following: the item - working electrode - is immersed in bath - counter electrode with electrolyte, with gradual increase of immersion rate, alternating current is preset, which is sufficient for ignition of microplasmous glows after not more than 5 minutes have elapsed since immersion start, and during further immersion another rate is preset, which provides for preset coating thickness on the portion that was initially immersed into electrolyte, at that anode peak voltage is maintanedat the level, which is less than the voltage that transforms microplasmous mode into arc mode, after item has been fully immersed in electrolyte, it is soaked in above mentioned mode until coating thickness becomes uniform on the full surface. Technical result is increase of accepted production output, uniform coating on complexly shaped item of any size at high capacity with using relatively low power source.
EFFECT: provides oxide and oxide-ceramic coatings for conductive items.
