FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: process implies workpiece dipping into electrolyte solution, microplasma arc excitation and formation of plating on workpiece surface. Electrolyte solution is stored in tight vessel; microplasma arc excitation on workpiece is carried out under reduced pressure over electrolyte solution. Related equipment comprises tight vessel for electrolyte with pressure-reducing device, power source with two terminals, one electrode immersed in electrolyte and comprising at least one workpiece and connected to the power source first terminal and another electrode, either immersed in electrolyte or containing electrolyte (when electrolyte vessel acts as the second electrode), connected to the power source second terminal.
EFFECT: quality uniform coating on parts with large surface area; utilisation of lesser power sources.
