FIELD: personal effects, domestic devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to steam irons. A hydraulic circuit connects water reservoir with an electrically heated evaporating chamber. The hydraulic circuit is switched with connected in series a water shut-off valve and adjusted water distributing device, which opens in a self-cleaning position, thus forming a channel to a free and adequate water flow into the evaporating chamber. The water distributing device consists of means for opening and maintaining the water shut off valve (4) in an open position when this valve is at an iron self -cleaning stage.
EFFECT: design of an iron with multi-functional distributing device.
