FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: housing (2) of steam iron is installed above bottom and includes a handle. Bottom (1) is provided with heating element connected to thermostat (8) allowing to control bottom temperature, and evaporation steam generation chamber supplied with water through water-distributing slide valve (4). Control device influences opening of water-distributing slide valve (4) and/or control of thermostat (8) for them to be installed in pre-determined relative position corresponding to the selected sequence. Control device includes mechanical selector with pulse control, which allows selecting ironing sequence from pre-determined number of sequences.
EFFECT: improving control accuracy of ironing sequence and ironing quality.
