SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to the sphere of the power-plant machine building industry. The free-piston gas generator contains a combustion chamber, a fuel injection nozzle, inlet and outlet valves, a compressor, and pistons; the air is fed from the atmosphere to the gas generator combustion chamber by the compressor drive piston connected with the compressor pistons with a stem and located between the pistons, and driven by the combustion products coming from the combustion chamber. The invention provides increasing of the free-piston gas generator efficiency by increasing the specific weight and dimensions.
EFFECT: increase in free-piston gas generator efficiency.
