FIELD: mechanic, energetic.

SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to steam generators with electrical heating and can be used for generating overheated steam. The technical result of the invention is the increase in temperature of the overheated steam and decrease in the metal consumption and the steam generator dimensions. The said technical result is achieved by installing a metallic shell coaxially inside of the steam generator body; the shell has a hole for water feeding, in which an electrical heater is located, made of two parallel-wound nickel-chromium spirals separated by a filter; the cavity inside of the electrical heater and the area between the walls of the shell and the electrical heater are filled with a thermal-resistant granular material.

EFFECT: increases overheated steam temperature, decreases metal consumption and device dimensions.
