SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for generating steam. Electric steam generator contains a vertically oriented housing with connections for supplying and discharging feed water and discharging superheated steam, a superheater or two superheaters, inside the heat exchange element of each superheater, which is connected in the lower part with an air source, and in the upper part with a nozzle for discharging superheated steam, at least one tubular electric heater is located, supported by an insulator-stand, the heating and evaporation chamber is formed by a cavity between the outer side surface of the heat exchange element of each superheater and the inner surface of the steam generator housing, on the inner side surface of the heat exchanger element of the superheater there are one or two through channels with holes in the upper part of the channels.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the efficiency of generating saturated and superheated steam with reliable and safe operation.
