METHOD OF PARAFFIN WAX AND OIL PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC C10G67/04 C10G73/06 

FIELD: organic chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: Paraffin-containing raw material is grade-mixed with coolant. Cooled solvent is used as coolant. Mixing is performed in multi-section vertical apparatus - pulsating crystallizer - owing to pulsation of the whole bulk of raw mixture filling apparatus. Produced suspension without further cooling is filtrated for two or three steps resulted in paraffin production after solvent regeneration from sediment of last filtrating step. Composition of filtrates of two or three filtrating steps after solvent regeneration is exposed to catalytic dewaxing resulted in dewaxed oil. Before raw materials are supplied to pulsating crystallizer, it is loaded with such amount of paraffin produced at last filtrating step after solvent separation so that paraffin wax content in produced raw mix was not less than 22% mass. Technical result is increasing of filtration rate and oil yield, reduced oil content in paraffin and maintenance costs for crystallizing equipment.

EFFECT: increased oil yield, reduced oil content in paraffin and maintenance costs for crystallizing equipment.
