FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: air bellows comprises a rubber-cord casing, a working and a supplementary cavity, and a baffle between them; the baffle has a calibrated opening and openings covered by free diaphragm during retraction. Working and supplementary cavities are enclosed by a cylinder with an opening in the top end thereof. On the top end of the supplementary cavity, there is a co-axial supplementary elastic member, which comprises a rubber-cord casing, secondary working and supplementary cavities, and a baffle between them with a calibrated opening and openings covered by free diaphragm during compression. Secondary working cavity is enclosed by upper cylinder, rigidly attached to the top of the lower cylinder. Secondary supplementary cavity is located in the opening of the top end of the lower cylinder.
EFFECT: enhanced damping properties of air bellows.
