FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: aim of this invention is to make a device for measuring intensity of an electric current, which has small dimensions. The proposed device consists of U-shaped primary electrical conductor, whose middle part has a curved shape, centralised relative to the central axis and two branches - first and second branches, secondary coil, sensitive to a magnetic field located between the first and second branches of the primary electrical conductor. The primary electrical conductor is a flat profiled element, curved into a U-shape, the first branch of which has a section twisted by 90° in the first twisting direction, and the second branch has a section twisted by 90° in the second twisting direction.
EFFECT: easy adaptation to any type of contact terminals and no mechanical stress in the secondary coil during the process of pressing the ends of the primary electrical conductor, when they are internally or externally fixed to the contact terminals.
