SUBSTANCE: said portable data storage unit incorporates data interface for transmitting data to the device and back (USB-interface), interface controller (USB-controller), main control centre and two or more flash-memory AND-NOT units. Interface controller is implemented so as to provide for possibility to transmit data received via the interface to the main control centre, which controls memory units operation by sending thereto identical control data via corresponding signal lines. Main control centre is able to send data to flash-memory AND-NOT units simultaneously, via corresponding 8-bit buses. When data shall be stored, it is divided into groups, which are sent to corresponding memory units, and both memory units recieve commands to save data simultaneously. When data shall be extracted, both units receive commands to record data to the main control centre simultaneously.
EFFECT: enhanced data transmission rate.
