FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: stated result is achieved because construction of three-dimensional geometric model of item (TGM) is done with application of basic models. Item geometry data is identified, selected data is transformed in values of geometric parameters of item TGM elements, one or several basic models are selected to be changed in accordance with item geometry data, sequence of TGM automatic construction operations on the basis of basic models is preset, afterwards basic models are extracted from the preliminarily created database, values of their parameters are changed in accordance with item geometry data or by previously determined method.
EFFECT: reduces time and computing resources.
