FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to the nuclear power industry, more specifically, to fuel assemblies for pressurised water nuclear reactors. The nuclear reactor fuel assembly shank contains a base, a supporting element, a diffuser, and hexagonal frame connected with one another coaxially. In the hexagonal frame, star-shaped ribs are secured for the installation of the lower support grid for the fuel element bundle of the fuel assembly. The upper edges of the ribs are designed as flat-top teeth interacting with bridges between holes of the lower grid of the fuel assembly.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase reliability of fuel assembly.
