FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly includes fuel elements, a head and a shank, which are fixed on a power frame including spacer grids with rims. On each edge of rims at least of some part of spacer grids there are diverting elements projecting to the space between fuel elements. Diverting elements have an elongated shape with a longitudinal generatrix of the surface facing the inner side of the rim. Longitudinal generatrixes are parallel to each other and to the plane of the rim edge and inclined at an equal angle to longitudinal axis of fuel assembly. In rims with diverting elements there are slots oriented along the longitudinal axis of fuel assembly and located in several rows as to the height. Peripheral fuel elements are partially buried into the above slots. Besides, the number of rows of slots as to height is determined with an inclination angle of diverting elements and height of the rim of the spacer grid. Besides, diverting elements can be made in the form of the rim corrugations, the crown of which is directed inside the rim, or in the form of the plates, the rib of which is directed inside the rim, or in the form of other elongated diverting elements projecting inside the rim.
EFFECT: improving the equalisation effectiveness of heat carrier temperature in cross section of fuel assembly.
