FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: invention aims for cleaning a gas flow of dropping liquid. The separator has a vertical cylinder case incorporating in its upper part a separation element made up of vertical plates attached to the case bottom base, a coaxial branch pipe arranged in the case upper part to release gas and a horizontal branch pipe to force mixture to be separated into the case lower part. The case bottom base whereto attached are the separation element vertical plates, is a coaxial cone with its vertex upwards, while the separation element plates are made arc-like with their camber oriented outwards towards the incident flow and to the separator axis. A spray deflector is arranged above the separation mixture branch pipe with a gap there between. A liquid trap is arranged above the spray deflector. A vertical plate, a deflector, abutting with the case, is arranged opposite to the exit section of the branch pipe receiving the mixture to be separated. The proposed invention allows reduction of input drag and increase in separation.
