FIELD: mechanic engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the technique of disperse materials drying and can be used in microbiological, food and chemical and other industries. Horizontal spiral dryer consists of a feed spout for wet stock, spent coolant cleaning system and drying chamber in the shape of spiral dryer. There is a lid on the top of drying chamber forming separating chamber. Feed spout is situated in the lid but axisymmetrically to spiral dryer. It crosses separating chamber so that spout edge overhangs over the top of distributing cone installed in chamber bottom axisymmetrically to spout. Steam spiral channel is provided with perforated restrainers in the upper part of chamber. Spiral chamber bottom rests on a platform with two-shaft vibrators and on other elastic elements. Condensate removal tube is fixed to bottom from the foundation side. To remove coolant, acoustic system is installed on tube outlets for trapping mean disperse particles. Acoustic system is connected with cyclone attached to a discharge mechanism. Optimal parameters of sound treatment in acoustic system with no less than 2 g/m3 particles concentration in flow are as follows: acoustic pressure within 145...150 dB, oscillation frequency 900...1100 Hz, time of insonation within 1.0...2 s.

EFFECT: improvement of drying efficiency; production of vibrofluidised bed which broadens the range of treated materials.
