FIELD: ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: fixed round for grenade launchers comprising a grenade with a nose fuze. The grenade body is filled with an explosive, fitted with a driving means and supported by a piston follower having a blind cavity that limits from above a propellant powder charge. Said charge is placed into a flange that is hermetically screwed with the case and wherein an initiator is secured. The base of the body has the shape of a downwardly tapered truncated cone. The cone generatrix of the body base is tilted on its half-calibre from the end face at an angle of 11°-19° with respect to the centre line. Said driving means has the form of spiral protrusions that are distributed along the perimeter to mate adequately with driving edges of the weapon spiral rifles. The front edge of said spiral protrusions of the driving means is bevelled oppositely with respect to a bevel on the lead-in section of the weapon barrel. The grenade aligns itself upon loading, by orienting automatically with its spiral driving protrusions in the weapon barrel rifles.
EFFECT: improving functional reliability and purpose parameters of the round for covert launching of long-range grenades.
