FIELD: medicine; forensic medical examination.

SUBSTANCE: microslides of myocardium from anterior, lateral and posterior walls, interventricular septum, and left ventricle apex are examined under polarized light. Total number of modified cardiac hystiocytes, focal subsegmental contracture injuries of cardiac hystiocytes and segmental contracture injuries of cardiac hystiocytes of 1st degree are detected and total number of modified cardiac hystiocytes less than 36% and prevalence of focal subsegmental contracture injuries of cardiac hystiocytes over segmental contracture injuries of cardiac hystiocytes of 1st degree indicates instant death.

EFFECT: enables to provide high-accuracy diagnostics of instant death from craniocerebral injury.
