METHOD OF SURGICAL ACCESS TO INTERVERTEBRAL DISK OF LUMBAR SPINE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/00 

Abstract RU 2326605 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: surgical access is performed through section along spinous process line. Skin is dissected in plane of damaged intervertebral disk in combination with mobilization of hypodermic tissue over aponeurosis. Aponeurosis is dissected bowingly from upper end of spinous process of overlying vertebra up to lower end of spinous process of underlying vertebra over operated intervertebral disk at radius approx. 4 cm. Formed aponeurosis graft is mobilized and medially turned it back through atraumatic suturing. Within space between spinous processes and pedicles m. multifidus canal to operated segment arch is formed by edgeless method and micro-diskectomy device is fixed. Certain manipulations are performed on solid meninx, intervertebral disk. After operation is completed edges of dissected tissues are connected layer by layer by common techniques using atraumatic absorbable suture material.

EFFECT: enables to prevent postoperative pain in operation area.
