SUBSTANCE: method of hose-type items knitting based on jersey stitches made on flat rib machine is that item details are knitted on both needle bars and joined in the process of knitting. Item details are joined at straight horizontal section in series. Body loops and left sleeve loops are first joined, after that body and right sleeve loops are joined. Body and sleeve details are joined by sequential shifting of body and sleeve details relative to each other by the required number of needle pitches and sequential closing of knitted loops due to transfer of all sleeve and body loops to the opposite needle bars and simultaneous knitting of joined loops.
EFFECT: improvement of strength and reduction of stretching in the area of details joining and avoidance of textile structure deformation in the process of wearing.
