FIELD: locksmith's work.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a code lock incorporating a body with holes on the front cover to allow selecting the code with a key, a central keyhole and a bar-type locking element arranged inside the body, the translating bars with bulges, control arm and turning code plates are mounted in the body so that their axes are perpendicular to the bar axes. The bars are provided also with the flat to interact with the bar bulges to allow their travel. There is a shutter arranged between the face cover and the code plates. The code plates are arranged in, at least, two rows to interact with the bar bulges, every plate being provided with a multi-face drum provided with the end face bulge with a mark made in a plane aligned with the plate flat. The multi-face drums interact with spring-loaded ratchet producing a click with every turn of the key. The plate opposite side has a stepped seat for the key bit. Here, note that every step of the seat in every plate is made, in the plane perpendicular to the key axis, turned through an angle corresponding to a certain code number. A check mark is arranged on the side opposite to the key bit to pinpoint the key initial position before setting the code.
EFFECT: higher reliability and service life of the key.
