FIELD: chemistry; measurement.

SUBSTANCE: gas detector includes body with inlet and outlet ports for detectable gas, inside of which the electrode, the high-voltage power supply generated voltage which is necessary for ignition and the corona discharge upkeep between the electrodes, gage of corona discharge current and equipment for gas bleeding are located. One of the electrodes is a tapered tube with angular of 6-40 degrees at the top, where the second electrode locates in the coaxial way. The invention ensures detector gas steady operation with the possibility to increase analysed air flow pumping through it in 3-10 times at the same time to save the possibility to regulate interelectrode gap for accurate regulation of ignition voltage of the corona discharge in consequence of interelectrode gap alteration.

EFFECT: insurance of gas detector steady operation with volume increase of air pumping through it.
