FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of welding production and may be used for plasma-arc welding in protective medium of wide spectrum of structures from active materials in different industries. Plasma-arc welding is done in protective gas medium. As protective and plasma-forming gas one gas is used or mixture of two gases. Pulse supply of gases in the process of welding is done continuously by law of continuous rectangular wave, changing flow rate of protective and/or plasma-forming gas or mixtures of gases in accordance with ratios: Qmin:Qmax= 1 : n where n=4...10 and/or Qmin':Qmax'=1 : n' where n'=2...5, where Qmin - minimum flow rate of protective gas; Qmax - maximum flow rate of protective gas; Qmin' minimum flow rate of plasma-forming gas; Qmax' - maximum flow rate of plasma-forming gas.
EFFECT: increase of plasma-arc stability and increase of its melting ability, which accordingly improves welding quality.
